Miter Cut Machine helps Vermont Manufacturer Remain Competitive

On schedule completion of the dual miter cut machine during plant shutdown brings increased reliability and higher throughput while improving yield and reducing unexpected shutdowns. Energy usage also reduced with the addition of a more efficient pneumatic system and modern PLC control. This machine cuts a patented edge on applicators for flooring finishes for a manufacturer in Northern Vermont. The new machine controls were designed and fabricated off site, and installed during a scheduled plant shutdown. The PLC program was written in advance and final edits done at the customer's facility. The customer was thrilled at the results and had me back in to add additional features and enhancements beyond the original scope at a later date. The client is currently evaluating other equipment needs and planning the next project.
